geschwungene Vorhangwand aus gesteppter Kunststofffolie. Dahinter \u00f6ffnet sich die begehbare Rauminstallation. Ein Greenscreen bildet zugleich Hintergrund und B\u00fchne. Hybride Elemente bev\u00f6lkern die Szenerie &#8211; E-Roller versinken im Sand, Gallery-Sockel werden von Wasser \u00fcberschwemmt. 3D-Drucke floraler Objektoide, von selbstst\u00e4ndig agierenden Algorithmen gemorpht, gesellen sich zu Miniaturdarstellungen weiterer zeitgen\u00f6ssischer Ph\u00e4nomene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ausgangspunkt von Direct Diorama<em> (i.i.i.)<\/em> ist die Auseinandersetzung mit (historischen) Formen der Immersion und mit digitalen Materialit\u00e4ten. Die interaktive Installation untersucht anthropozentrische und anthropomorphe Darstellungen von Natur, Landschaft und des Lebendigen, und projiziert sie in ein Social-Media-Setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ab dem&nbsp;19. Jhdt. entstanden Dioramen als neue Werkzeuge der Realit\u00e4tserfahrung. Meist waren sie als in die Tiefe gebaute Schaub\u00fchnen konzipiert und mit diversen plastischen Gegenst\u00e4nden vor gemaltem oder fotografiertem Hintergrund angereichert. Durch wechselnde Beleuchtung wurden Bewegungen und Tageszeiten simuliert.&nbsp;Von der Schaustellerei bis zu Naturhistorischen Museen dienten Dioramen der Darstellung unzug\u00e4nglicher und exotischer Szenarien. Die Motive reichten von kolonialistisch gepr\u00e4gten Perspektiven auf menschliche Lebensweisen bis zu Naturdarstellungen mit ausgestopften Tieren unter wissenschaftlichem Anspruch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Besucher*innen des Direct Diorama werden Teil eines forensischen Greenscreen-Kosmos, welcher per Livestream w\u00e4hrend der Ausstellungsdauer unter&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/i.i.i.live\/?hl=de\">https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/i.i.i.live\/?hl=de<\/a>&nbsp;zu beobachten ist. Sowohl maschinelle\/ digitale als auch beinahe einhundert Jahre alte malerische Sichtweisen (Willy von Beckerath) nehmen Teil.&nbsp;Die Szenerie wird gefilmt und in Echtzeit mit anderen Landschaften\/ Kreationen \u00fcberlagert. Schnelle Schnitte \u00e4hneln dem Effekt von Instagram-Stories. Die Benutzer*innen beobachten auf dem Screen, wie sie in verschiedene Szenarien versetzt sind und darin interagieren (bzw. dies verweigern etc). Das Versprechen der Interaktivit\u00e4t wird nur zum Teil eingel\u00f6st, denn tats\u00e4chliche Einflussnahme bleibt versagt. Ein livestream auf Instagram erweitert die Szenerie um eine zus\u00e4tzliche Ebene. Daraus ergibt sich letztlich ein endloser Prozess des Morphings der Realit\u00e4t, in dem die Vielzahl der Ebenen sowohl zur Grenze als auch zu den Protagonisten der B\u00fchne wird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EN<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A curving curtain wall made of quilted plastic foil forms the theatrical access to the Direct Diorama. Behind it, the walk-in room installation opens up. A green screen forms both background and stage. Hybrid elements inhabit the scenery, e-scooters sink into the sand, gallery pedestals are flooded by water, 3D prints of floral object-oids (morphed by independently acting algorithms) are combined with miniature representations of other contemporary phenomena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The starting point of Direct Diorama <em>(i.i.i.)<\/em> is the encounter with (historical) forms of immersion and digital materialities. The interactive installation explores anthropocentric and anthropomorphic representations of nature, landscape and the living, and then projects them into a social media setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the 19th century onwards, dioramas developed as new tools for experiencing reality. Most of them were designed as a stage built undergrounds and enriched with various sculptural objects in front of a painted or photographed background. By altering the lighting, movements and times of the day were simulated.&nbsp;Dioramas served to depict inaccessible and exotic scenarios ranging from fairground attractions to natural history museums. The visual themes ranged from colonialist perspectives on the human lifestyle to representations of nature with stuffed animals displayed for scientific demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The visitors of the Direct Diorama<em> (i.i.i.) <\/em>become part of a forensic greenscreen cosmos, which can be viewed via livestream during the exhibition at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/i.i.i.live\/?hl=de\">https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/i.i.i.live\/?hl=de<\/a>. Both digital machineries and the almost one hundred year old Willy von Beckerath&#8217;s painting perspective take part.&nbsp;The scenery is filmed in real time and layered with other landscapes and creations. A fast editing process resembles the effect of Instagram Stories. The users observe on the screen how they are placed in different scenarios and interact with them, or refuse to interact. The promise of interactivity is only partially fulfilled, because the actual influence remains withheld. A livestream on Instagram adds an additional layer to the scenario.
